How to use your projection equipment

The NFL and the NFL Players Association have a new set of guidelines to help you keep your games safe.
The league and union will announce the rules at a news conference at the conclusion of the league’s training camp.
The guidelines, which will be in place from Aug. 1 through Aug. 10, include a new definition of the term “projection device” and a requirement for every projection equipment owner to install one.
The new guidelines also require all players and coaches to have their projections and equipment inspected annually by the league and its safety division.
They are also aimed at helping players and teams that are looking to improve safety and prevent injury.
The NFLPA, which represents some 3,000 players and staff, said the changes are aimed at providing the league with more training materials to help with safety measures.
The union is expected to release the guidelines soon.
The changes to the definition of projection devices will not apply to teams that play at home.
That includes the Minnesota Vikings, who have the largest stadium in the NFL.
The league said in the guidelines that any projection equipment installed on a home team will be subject to the same rules.
The rules also prohibit any equipment from being “further developed or modified” to provide more safety, and to be used to “enhance the player’s performance.”
In an interview on NFL Network on Tuesday, New Orleans Saints safety Eric Reid said the NFLPA’s guidelines are “a little more strict than we expected.”
He added that the new rules were made “to address some of the issues we have seen on the field in recent years.”
“We’re not in a position to be able to make the safety of the players much more, I think, with these changes, and that’s why we’re trying to get as much feedback as we can as quickly as possible,” Reid said.
The guidelines are similar to those that were in place in 2013 when the league introduced the new definition.
The NFLPA said the new guidelines “will help protect the integrity of the game and players, as well as the league from future injury.”
