It has been announced that the project equipment for the 2014-15 Serie A season will be used in the training grounds of the Stadio Olimpico, while the new training facility for the Brescia B team will be built with a project equipment from the Ligue 1 outfit.
According to a press release, the project is part of the overall construction programme of the city, which aims to improve the quality of life for the local population.
The new stadium for the club will be the most sophisticated in the region, with an 8,000-square metre building, designed by the architects Gensler, featuring a new touch-screen video interface for the players, new lighting and audio systems and a “new approach to training”, according to the press release.
The project equipment will be supplied by Bresca, with a total budget of $4.5m.
Brescia, whose fans will also be given a special training facility, will also get new kits and training equipment, including a “sporting area” and training surface.
The facility, which will be located in the centre of the stadium, is expected to open in time for the first home match of the season on January 4.
The project is the first step towards the completion of the construction programme, which is expected in the coming months.
